Cli-microsoft365: Continuos deployment with o365 cli

Question:

I try to figure out if there is a possiblity of continous deployment/integration of sharepoint framework solutions together with the o365 cli. When connecting to SPO I need to open the browser in order to get signed in. Is there a possibility to automate this sign-in process (eventually by sending credentials with the connect request) ?

You only need to sign in once. After that, the refresh token is persisted and reused for obtaining valid access token. Unfortunately, at the moment there is no way to pass credentials into the CLI.

Hey @Fabske411, I've just submitted a PR #392 which allows authentication using credentials. Once it's merged, you will be able to authenticate non-interactively with your user name and password.

@Fabske411 we've just published a beta of the Office 365 CLI (v1.2.0) with support for authentication using credentials. It would be awesome if you could give it a try and see if it's working for you. You can get the beta using npm i -g @pnp/office365-cli@next.
