I feel like design guidelines are nice, but not enough.

I'm sure that there's a lot of screens are being created internally by VMware itself, and there should be even more created by teams who use Clarity.

I think it would be great help for all who start using Clarity to have more examples of layouts created using Clarity.

How about creating a page with gallery or blog, where people can share their real life examples or concepts, both VMware devs and external devs, to share skills or get some critics?

Hi @sdurnov
A set of example screens built using Clarity is something we have had on our radar for a while now. It is something we are absolutely committed to doing but it would probably be a later-this-year sort of thing. Thanks for submitting this issue. I will add it to the backlog for tracking.

@mathisscott btw, what about, at least, creating a room in Spectrum chat and promoting it on the main page? Even if you don't have much time for getting a content, the community may handle it itself to some extent.

It's a good idea, I think that in the documentation has not enough examples for content:

I want to see more guidelines for:

  • Titles
  • Sub titles
  • Links/Actions under title

Now we only have

and maybe add examples with styles for these elements, how it made for headers

I found some practices used on the site

and base paddings for content

I would like, first of all, to see extended guides and examples on forms design, because current approach of putting everything in 1 column is clearly not suitable for complex forms. Forms design is awfully covered in general on Internet, so this will also help to bring new customers to Clarity.

Any best practices in UI/UX will be good for teams of developers that don't have a designer.

I think that this discussion here will be best suited for Github Discussions and closing the issues

@gnomeontherun

We are working toward improvements and I will close this as resolved by those efforts at least to some degree, since the asks here are not very specific. Additional requests should go to Discussions.

Hi there 馃憢, this is an automated message. To help Clarity keep track of discussions, we automatically lock closed issues after 14 days. Please look for another open issue or open a new issue with updated details and reference this one as necessary.
