Cataclysm-dda: Game crashed when I crafted an arrow

Created on 21 Apr 2019  路  8Comments  路  Source: CleverRaven/Cataclysm-DDA

I crafted a small game arrow and the game crashed.

I wasn't able to upload my game save because it crashed before I could save.

Can't we just revert to previous wood ash weight? At this point I'm pretty sure the game crashes during ash generation process (when a burning fire produces ash)

me too

Just had a similiar crash, although I didn't do any crafting atm. I was just starting fire in an oven as usual.

Crash1

This might be related to the error I get after updating from 8815 to 8820:

Sprite-0002

The only mod I'm using is my own mod that just tweaks some values in overmap-specials and regional_map_settings. It makes some locations and map extras spawn less and doesn't add anything.

Edit: nailed it. To reproduce: try to burn paper or anything paper-based. When I try to burn paper or paper wrapper inside an oven, the game crashes. When I try to drop paper/paper wrapper in already burning oven, the game crashes. As a temporary workaround, don't burn paper-based objects.

Edit 2: still crashes for some reason. Dropping my savegame and mod used just in case. It should start without the mod anyway. To reproduce: start a fire in an oven right next to you. See the game crash.

Edit 3: I guess it has something to do with the recent change of ashes weight. The game works just fine until I try starting a fire. Then it either crashes when I burn paper-based items, or crashes sometime later (probably trying to produce weightless ash and fails to do so, resulting in "arithmetical error").

Might be related to mine too. Crafting clean water first 2 attempts succeed now it just crashes.
Capture

Could be related to mine as well.

Error occurs in this file at line 996, presumably due to a rounding error of some sort.
EDIT: Yep, looks like the weight rounded to 0.
EDIT 2: Caused by #29768

Previous wood ash was WAAAAAAAAAAAAY too dense.
