Unfortunately they don't map. For each issue there should have been a link in the comments to the new issue tracker with the new id.

However I think not all of the bugs have been copied over to the new bug database...

If some aren't the most common scenarios are:

• they were linked to a feature and not a bug
• they were marked as dupes of another one

@molant Do you still have access somehow to the now offline MS Connect database (or one of it's backups)? It would be great if we somehow could update the dead links...

@mkurz do you know if those issues are still open or closed? I have found more than 1000+ items from the old system and that would help me narrow a lot the search (can't use the old ids to search them 😞)

@molant Sorry, I don't know. I would guess some are open and some are already closed...
Interesting, why can't you search by id? I'd imagine the id was used as a primary key for the issues in an relational database... Or not? Do you have access to the db or just some frontend?

@mkurz connect was a separate system than the one used by the engineers. There were some bots doing the syncing from one place to another.
The only place where I've found the connect's ID in the engineering system is in the first comment of the bot. Unfortunately comments aren't indexed 😞
You can't imagine how happy we were when we stopped using connect.

Going back to the subject, I'll probably have to write a script to do this so it will take longer than expected while I find some time to do it.

Can you not just simply somehow switch on that old frontend that's offline now - or is it completely gone? (I know I know it's not easy... :wink: )
