Buildinggadgets: Holding at Gadget in the off Stops the /dank/null for picking up items.

I have the copy paste gadget in my off and am digging with my shovel but the block are going into my inventory and not the /null after some testing it because i'm holding the gadget in my off and? Don't know why this is.

Note that items don't go into the dank null when using the exchanger/undo features. Thats a bug on Dank/null's side AFAIK. If you had the tool in your offhand, and broke an item with a pickaxe (Or picked it up off the ground) and it didn't go into the dank/null -- yea that actually kinda makes sense. And its the same bug as above.

Well that's odd. I'll see if I can reproduce it. Are you playing on a mod pack and what version of the mod are you on?

@MichaelHillcox ftb enigmatica 2 expert will have to see what version when I get home.

Hmm, I can see why this might happen but I can't seem to make it happen. Can you confirm what you where breaking, what was in the dank/null and what you where using to break the blocks.

Sorry to poke on this old issue but I ran into the this very issue with undoing with a dank null. Would it be possible to detect if the player has a dank null and spawn the blocks at the player's feet (similar to how a pam's shipping bin works with emeralds) that way the dank null would still collect the items. Just a thought :D

Better: you should not need to spawn them in a world, but instead simulate Item Pickup (I tried and succeeded doing that in 1.14). However 1.12 no longer get's features and I'm not sure whether this should be defined as a bug or not.

I've actually already written a much better implementation for Mining gadgets for 1.14 & 1.15 (using the simulated pickup method) which I'll likely pull over to this when I've got the chance but 1.12 won't be getting that update.
