Bspwm: Firefox window black after switching desktops

Created on 26 May 2020  路  1Comment  路  Source: baskerville/bspwm

Just installed bspwm; finally got fed up enough with Kwin/Khronkite bugs to get a native tiling WM again, and wanted to give this a shot over i3.

My experience has been pretty positive, but I have one odd issue. When I have a Firefox window open, but not focused, and switch to a different desktop then back again, the Firefox window is sometimes just an empty black rectangle. Focusing Firefox fixes it.

This isn't my compositor (picom); this bug occurs with and without picom running. I never saw this bug in Kwin on the same hardware (RX 570).

I have the same problem (but here, the Firefox window isn't black, but it looks like the part of the view of the previous workspace)
