I was able to reproduce this issue on Chrome 83.0.4103.61 (latest version of Chrome for Ubuntu) and found the same issue posted on Chromium.

Is this something the Brave team wants to work on or would it be better to wait for the Chromium team to fix the issue then pull those changes downstream?

we should probably wontfix this until https://bugs.chromium.org/p/chromium/issues/detail?id=1065418 is resolved, but i assume that's what chromium will do too
