Brave-browser: crash reporting toggle under linux using incorrect text

Created on 15 Feb 2019  路  4Comments  路  Source: brave/brave-browser

Description

Under brave://settings on Linux, the crash reporting switch looks as follows:

Automatically send usage statistics and crash reports to Brave Software

However, on Windows and macOS, the setting appears as:

Automatically send crash reports to Brave

This might discourage users on Linux to enable crash reporting as they might think that they're also sending other stats to Brave.

Steps to Reproduce

  1. open brave using Linux and visit brave://settings
  2. Under Privacy and security, you'll notice the crash reporting text and the incorrect wording

Actual result:
