I would LOVE the feature to include multiple folders in a single project, without having to switch between folders, and view all of the files within both folders at a single glance to the sidebar
+1, sometimes I'm say working on a website. And then there might be some lib I'm using I'd like to view code for etc..
This is a good feature suggestion. Marking "move to backlog" so we can add a story card for it.

Note: The user story Multiple separate windows - official "New Window" command is somewhat similar to this -- but probably not close enough that it makes sense to merge this request into that card.
Just to add an extra use case: If you're developing for Adobe Experience Manager, project files are spread across multiple root folders in the JCR. If I'm working over WEBDAV, it's not feasible to open the root folder with Brackets, but opening:
Would allow me to bounce around my project without opening new windows.
This would be a good feature to have. An example would be notepad++ with the explorer plugin. A file explorer in the left frame with tabs opening up when you click on a file.
@fritzwf Please upvote this trello card
+1 - a very helpful tool for project work.

+1 - This capability is standard issue in Sublime Text. Would be nice to have multiple project folder support also in Brackets.

What happened to this feature, is it already available?
Any news about this feature ?
+1
I really need this too.
Hey guys, almost three years have past from the beginning of the topic. Please include this feature or prove us why it shouldn't be implemented.
+1.
Adding any +1's won't help. I'd suggest opening a pull request and implementing the feature.
@iL1nk, just move on. I've moved on to Atom. Might still go back to brackets as Atom loads so slowly compared to brackets for some reason. But as days, weeks, and years go by, I have a feeling I will never go back to brackets.
@Hackya , I use Brackets and Atom on Windows 10, and for me Atom is WAY much FASTER than Brackets when I open files, is that what you mean ? (instead I don't understand)
I also don't understand why Brackets is receiving so little updates.
Thx @zaggino for that, because I only see you as active members on the forums.
There is so much awesome features in Brackets, that could be upgrade... The frequency of the Atom's updates give the impression that Brackets is dead.
However, Atom is still fucked up with his indentation system, and don't know how people can code day to day with it.
I repeat, thx @zaggino for what you are doing ! :)
@AgamlaRage No, Atom loads much slower than Brackets on my PC. I use Windows 10 64 bit. I am not much of a computer guy but I know that i7-4790K with 16GB of memory shouldn't load Atom so slowly.
"There is so much awesome features in Brackets" - I couldn't agree more. For me, I had to install close to a dozen packages just to do things on Atom that Brackets come pre-packaged, (just to fold codes, you have to install a package on Atom. I am not joking.)
But not being able to open multiple folders on Brackets just kills my productivity. I've spent a couple hours just to make my Atom theme look similar to default Brackets theme. LOL That's how much I loved the look & feel of Brackets.
So I feel very unfortunate/sad that Brackets seems to have been abandoned by Adobe even though Brackets is an open source.
@AgamlaRage thanks!
@Hackya are you/we talking about
a) opening multiple windows of Brackets at once, each having a different project folder opened
b) opening multiple folders from one window of Brackets (basically having more than one file tree on the left)
The reason behind a lack of updates to Brackets has been due to Brackets being taken over by a new team at Adobe and that team's focus to integrate Brackets as a part of new Adobe Dreamweaver. That work has been done and the team is slowly trying to catch up for the time of inactivity on this project. I wouldn't call it abandoned at all.
I personally don't work at Adobe, but I love to use this editor and try to keep it updated and improved to suit my needs (it's not very motivating to work on a feature that I'll never use).
With or without Adobe's employees involvement, as any open-source project, it will be only as good as the community around it. If people don't try to make pull requests and contribute, they really can't expect it to compete with projects that have much bigger communities.
@zaggino,
Other than MS Excel, I don't know of any other program that doesn't let you do a).
a) opening multiple windows of Brackets at once, - of course this can be done with Brackets. However, unlike other code editors, achiecing a) can be less than straightforward for some users as Brackets does not have "New Window" menu like Atom has.
b) opening multiple folders from one window of Brackets - this is what everybody has been asking for since 2014.
Personally, I want both a) & b) but a) is a non-issue because this can be done.
I wonder if Adobe people have heard about vscode. Dreamweaver? Seriously? Oh boy, Adobe people must think we are still living in the 90's.
Would be great if this would be added.
This needs to be added.
3 years have past.
Guys I've discovered for me other perfect code editors such as Atom or, as for me the better one, - Visual Studio Code. They all have modern features and updated add-ons. Good luck!
I test a lot of code editors these days (Atom is slow to open and used 2 Go of my hard drive (Win 10 64 bits)) and tested CudaText before Brackets. Managing different folders in a projet is a breeze in CudaText and I鈥檓 a little upset to see that Brackets cannot manage it. Too bad as I find it more stable than Atom and CudaText.
Is this feature already available? I love Bracket and I use it often for my frontend designs, but whenever I want to review things I did in the past, I end up using Sublime that allows me to integrate several folders to the same project.

+1 even though this might be a lost cause at this point.
