Boostnote: Sticky multi-selection after creating a new markdown note

Created on 13 Jun 2019  路  4Comments  路  Source: BoostIO/Boostnote

Current behavior

Normally, you can select multiple notes from the list using Ctrl+Click or Shift+Click. After you create a new note, the multi-selection mode becomes permanently active, as if you were pressing Ctrl key. Solved only by restarting the app.

Steps to reproduce

  1. Go to settings and select "Switch to preview" option to "On right cilck". Save and close settings.
  2. Click on any folder with a few pre-existing notes, hit Ctrl+N, select new markdown note
  3. Type a few words, and Right-click on the editor to switch modes
  4. Proceed to click on a few notes in the editor
  5. Observe the notes being multi-selected while no multi-selection key is pressed

Please see screencast where I reproduce the issue: http://bit.ly/2WzDi3b

Can't quite seem to replicate the issue.

I did however got the same bug by doing something slightly different:

Steps to reproduce

  1. Hold a multi-selection key and select multiple notes.
  2. While still holding the key click in the editor, where you can type.
  3. Let go of the multi-selection key.
  4. Observe how clicking in the note list still get selected as if the multi-selection key was still pressed.

Environment

  • Version : 0.11.17
  • OS Version and name : 16.04 Ubuntu

I can reproduce this on Linux Mint 18

Still an issue on Linux Mint 19.
