Hello,
I am trying to install baikal-0.4.4.zip, I since reported the issue where I was told that the version baikal-flat-0.2.7.zip was no longer available or supported, so I adjusted the path of download.
Installed:
sudo apt-get install sqlite php5-sqlite
sudo apt-get install nginx
So I ran this setup, where one command didn't work
sudo wget https://github.com/fruux/Baikal/releases/download/0.4.4/baikal-0.4.4.zip
sudo unzip baikal-0.4.4.zip
sudo chown -R www-data:www-data baikal/
sudo chmod 755 baikal
cd baikal/
sudo chmod 755 Specific/
sudo chmod 755 Specific/db/
sudo chmod 755 Specific/db/db.sqlite Did not work
sudo touch Specific/ENABLE_INSTALL
And then I was supposed to run the install from the web browser and that didn't work. I would really get to know the baikal and get it running to see if this solution is feasible.
Thank you

I looked at the so called instruction that are NOT CLEAR!
http://sabre.io/baikal/install/
So I had asked in a previous issue if this install would work and the answer was YES as long as I downloaded the updated software. The only thing that DID NOT work as mentioned clearly is
tail | sudo chmod 755 Specific/db/db.sqlite
chmod: cannot access 'Specific/db/db.sqlite': No such file or directory
At this point I would like to remind you that this is not some form of "customer support" where you are entitled to yell at and degrade underpaid interns, but other people spending their freetime with your issues.
So I had asked in the issue if this install would work and the answer was YES
Could you provide a reference for this? #550 does not contain anything like that.
Then get out of the business! You write this and then you don't take responsibility. Go ahead I will find better developed and support with another software! Yes it was mention at a different ticket, but then then process is utterly flawed
There is no business. This is software that was programmed by people in their freetime.
I'd like to see you try to find anybody wanting to help you with that attitude.
Whatever
Ignore the haters, I appreciate your efforts and I'm sure many others do as well.
I second this absolutely. Baikal provides the best CardDAV and CalDAV experience, is actively maintained, and the support is absolutely fast and excellent. I absolutely appreciate all the efforts put into Baikal.
Whatever! Â I know now that dealing incompetent is worth my TIME!! Â STOP EMAIL

As pointed out by @untitaker , we do this work for free. While we might not be perfect, we try to improve while delivering good support. If you're looking for commercial-class support, you can purchase it or use a different commercially supported application.
Locking this thread. If you still want help and you're able to ask politely I'd still be happy to help. If not, please go away.
