Please add the ability to set permissions for users.
Example: I have corporate address book and I need to restrict some users from editing/deleting contacts.
Thanks in advance!
+vote to request
Interested in this functionality, I would like to see in future releases
+1 and a request for calendar permissions
Thank you very much for this great work on baikal.
Github has a "thumbs up" feature now, at the top of every issue and comment. Use that instead of commenting.
In terms of what we'll do with this: I think we'll add calendar/addressbook sharing functionality first. This allows a user to share specific calendars / address books to other users.
I'm closing this ticket, not because it's not a good idea.
It's a low priority for the maintainers, and I feel it's better to keep a Github issue list that reflects actual work being done vs a list of things that will never get closed.
If someone reading this is interested enough in this feature to make the changes, feel free to comment here to re-open the issue.
Issue #303 requests fine-grained permissions and had 7 earlier Issues closed with comment "This will be supported in Ba茂kal 2. See #303", but development has reverted here to Baikal. There is certainly significant demand for this enhancement but it's unclear whether the "calendar sharing plugin" in version 0.6.0 provides the same functionality as calendar-tools for 0.2.7 referenced in #303 and whether calendar-tools would meet this enhancement request.
@evert Is this Issue a duplicate of #303? Has the user permissions feature requested here already been completed by the "calendar sharing plugin" in release 0.6.0?
