hi,
Would you have any workaround to install IoTEdge on a "windows 10 version 2004"- container host?
I'm stuck after a windows update of my Advantech Industrialized PC.
many thanks in advance,
best regards,
Bernard

Hello @berre74 Thanks for the feedback!
We will soon share more info on supported OS!
Hi Satish,
I'm reusing an Advantech UNO-2362G, which did the upgrade to windows 10 without any problem (although a bit slow).
It's a clean install (first time), no previous versions of IoTEdge have been installed on it.
I followed this procedure to install IoTEdge: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/iot-edge/how-to-install-iot-edge-windows
I'm preparing for the SIDO-event (3-4 sept) in Lyon, France, as we plan to perform a demo of Industrial-IoT on our joint Codit/Microsoft booth.
Best regards,
Bernard

Hello @berre74 , Sorry, I just have a few more queries,
I'm reusing an Advantech UNO-2362G, which did the upgrade to windows 10
1. Could you please confirm if you are using any one of these Windows 10 IoT OS versions?
Windows 10 IoT Core ?
OR
Windows 10 IoT Enterprise ?
2. Can you please provide us the full information on your Device OS with build info as well?
Example: Microsoft® Windows® 10 IoT Enterprise LTSB 2015 Entry EPKEA
3. What was the earlier version of OS on the device?
Meanwhile, I am checking internally with my team!
Hi @SatishBoddu-MSFT
I must admit the Advantech PC is running Windows 10(not Windows 10 IoT).
I will proceed trying to install the Windows 10 IoT Enterprise on it and let you know if this solved my pb.
best regards,
Bernard
Hello @berre74 Thanks for the confirmation!
Please make sure that Windows 10 IoT Ent LTSC version (1809 version, 17763 build) is used.

Also please refer to the document : Supported Windows versions & Tier 1 Supported OS
Please let us know if you need further help in this matter.

Hi Satish,
The Advantech UNO2362G machine had a hard time to 'downgrade' from version 2004 to 1809.
Also due to its 2GB memory, it became way too slow to handle Windows 10.
I decided to install Ubuntu Server on it. I'm quite confident that IoTEdge will deploy more smoothly now on this little industrialized PC.
Many thanks for your help again !
Best regards,
Bernard
