Summarizing feedback:

  1. This still appears to be a problem. The hyperlink in Point 1 still refers to .NET Framework version.
  2. Also, the sentence beginning "Hence the version of Microsoft.AspNet.ApplicationInsights.HostingStartup..." also refers to the .NET Framework version.
  3. Lastly, the sentence beginning "The latest version of Microsoft.ApplicationInsights.AspNetCore is 2.8.2..." now refers to an outdated version of Application Insights.
  4. Another problem. The code snippet refers to the FileDiagnosticsTelemeteryModule class. It appears that this class has now been moved out of the HostingStartup package into the base ApplicationInsights package. See https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/dotnet/api/microsoft.applicationinsights.extensibility.implementation.tracing.filediagnosticstelemetrymodule.initialize?view=azure-dotnet and microsoft/ApplicationInsights-dotnet#1059. The package Microsoft.ApplicationInsights v2.14.0 or later is therefore needed to be installed. In fact, I don't think you even need the HostingStartup package to be installed anymore, because everything that is needed is now in the base package. But not sure.

@mrbullwinkle The Troubleshooting Logs section might need some rework if #4 above is true. Want to know your thoughts before making any fixes.
