Azure-docs: Extended JSON Format Switch

Created on 18 Apr 2020  Â·  6Comments  Â·  Source: MicrosoftDocs/azure-docs

Is the --handle-extended-json-format switch still needed? According to https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/cli/azure/release-notes-azure-cli?view=azure-cli-latest#arm, the switch is now used by default. Should the documentation be updated to reflect that the switch is no longer necessary?

@mcollier - the switch is still required based on my testing. I will research and get back to you.

@mcollier - used an older CLI version. It does work on 2.3.1. I will update the article.

@mumian I think the page at https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/azure-resource-manager/templates/deploy-cli#handle-extended-json-format may need a similar update.

@mcollier - you are right. Both are updated. Both articles will go live last this afternoon. I appreciate the help.
