Azure-docs: Why is a manual solution required for this?

It would be a lot more helpful if the deployment retention period could be configured on the resource group. Having to implement an automatic job or pipeline task to do this for every resource group is an unexpected trap.

Hi @KrishnaG-MSFT, @tfitzmac, is there an update on this request for configuring retention period? Or do we still need to work on our own automation to delete old deployments?

My team is planning to do the automation for deleting old resources. It would be great if you have a timeline we can refer to.
