Azure-docs: Logs from ADF into Log Analytics Workspace

Hi,

Where can I find the logs sent by ADF to the Log Analytics workspace? I configured ADF diagnostic setting from Az Monitor > Diagnostic Settings, selected as destination the Log Analytics workspace, and checked all the options from log and metric boxes, but when I enter the workspace I can't find where the logs are.

Also... does Log Analytics support Dynamic Alerts?

@mallecespedes Answer to your first question is, you can find the logs in ADFPipelineRun, ADFTriggerRun, and ADFActivityRun tables (if you have opted Resource-Specific mode while Configuring diagnostic settings and workspace) or in AzureDiagnostics table (if you have opted Azure-Diagnostics mode while Configuring diagnostic settings and workspace). You may go to Logs tile of your Log Analytics Workspace and query above mentioned tables to view the logs. For more information, refer this document.

Answer to your second question (assuming you are talking about dynamic thresholds) is, metric alerts (i.e., alerts that are of 'Metrics' signal type) supports this option but log alerts (i.e., alerts that are of 'Log Search' signal type) doesn't currently support this option. For more information, refer this document.

Hi Krishna -

We configured 'Azure-Diagnostics' mode to push the logs to LAW, but for some reason it's stopped send ing the logs - when I query AzureDiagnostics table in LAW I get nothing.

But if I choose 'Resource-Specific' mode, I do see the PipelineRuns category logs under ADFPipelineRuns table.

Could you pls hint what's the reason?
