Azure-docs: waagent not actually available in Debian wheezy

Created on 10 Dec 2019  Â·  9Comments  Â·  Source: MicrosoftDocs/azure-docs

Docs seems to claim that Debian wheezy has a waagent package. It does not. This page seems to indicate it's only available in jessie and later.

@miiichael Thanks for the Feedback.
I have assigned the issue to content author to check and update document accordingly.

@axayjo Please look into this feedback and add your comments as applicable.

reassign: @MicahMcKittrick-MSFT

Thanks for the catch. I updated the doc. Once the PR merges the changes will go live after a few hours.

Oh. While I concede that no documentation is better than bad documentation, I'd like to point out that now you have no documentation for Debian users (of any version) at all.

I am working on that as well. Takes a few PRs to Adjust.

I am rather dubious of this logic, but okay. Is there a github issue I can follow for the _actual_ documentation fix?

I have an internal one. But I can reopen this for you to keep track of.

Submitted the fix with additions for Debian
