@jackiejaiau , Thanks for your feedback. We are looking into this query and will update you as soon as possible.

@jackiejaiau, We do not have an exact ETA to share on this as of yet.
As soon as we have an update, we will share and also update the document appropriately.
I have also shared the feedback with the content owner (@ccompy) for further review.

We will close this for now and will post back as soon as we have an update. Thanks!

Not having an exact ETA is understandable (even though the E in ETA stands for Estimated...). But maybe you can give us a ballpark estimation? Are we talking before the end of 2019? First quarter of 2020? Before end of 2025?

I’m excited to share the great session by Christian Compy on ‘Web app network security made easy’ presented at Microsoft Ignite 2019- This session discusses and demonstrate new features of App Service at network level. Learn how to combine features to satisfy your specific application networking requirements with either the multi-tenant service or with the App Service Environment. It also addresses some of the recent questions we have been seeing on VNet integration. I understand it is not a direct answer. Having mentioned that, it is being reviewed and the document would be updated soon with the latest changes.

Thanks for your feedback.
Basically vnet intergration will be planned GA in Dec 2019!

Is there any update on this?

Dec 2019 has come and gone.

Apologies for the delay on this! Our product engineering team is actively working on this and it will be GA shortly. I will post back as soon as I have an update.

@AjayKumar-MSFT Will there be an update to the docs showing how to connect/disconnect web apps to virtual networks using PowerShell Az? I have not had much luck in trying to adapt @ccompy 's code posted at https://gallery.technet.microsoft.com/scriptcenter/Connect-an-app-in-Azure-ab7527e3.

David, Apologies for delay! We would need to understand more details on the issue you're experiencing executing the script. The script helps to enable VNet integration by using PowerShell and also removeVNet ( for cleanup) - function RemoveVnet($subscriptionId, $resourceGroupName, $webAppName). Kindly open a new GitHub issue as it is not related to this thread original ask for visibility or you can connect as mentioned in the Technet script center.

@AjayKumar-MSFT Hi Ajay, Do we have any clarity on GA dates now? Any update on the tentative GA plan?

VNet Integration is GA with Windows Apps, kindly checkout this announcement '[Announcing general availability of VNet Integration with Windows Web Apps]' and also this document has been revised with the latest update.

@AjayKumar-MSFT Sorry that I was not so specific on the question. We are trying out app service deployment in Linux containers with VNet Integration which is still in preview. Any tentative GA date for this?

@gandhirajan, Our product engineering team is actively working on it & targeting to release before June 2020. Please note that this timeline is just an estimate and is subject to change, depending on a myriad of factors.
Once VNet integration on Linux WebApps is GA, we will also publish a blog similar to this ‘General Availability of VNet-Integration with Windows Web-Apps’ as an announcement & revise the relevant Azure docs to reflect the update.

@AjayKumar-MSFT Thanks for the info Ajay.
