Under Converting to ZRS replication, there are a few mentions of a stamp, but no definition. This is also unclear in the AZ300.1 training about ZRS and Stamps. Would like clarification as to what is meant by the term "stamp"

@jasonfare Thanks for posting. A stamp is a cluster of servers in a data center, think of it as groups of racks containing servers within an Azure Data Center. Let me know if this helps.
Thanks... I've been doing Azure for a few years and hadn't seen the term stamp... I found an article on a NetApp site (https://cloud.netapp.com/blog/azure-storage-behind-the-scenes) explaining a stamp and it sounds just like how MSFT describes a Zone on the compute side of the house. Is there a clear difference between a zone and a stamp that we should know about or are we good understanding that they are similar concepts? i.e. Would I ever actually have to do any configuration with the stamp beyond the normal operations performed in creating a storage account?
@Adam-Smith-MSFT ...and thank you for the quick response!
@jasonfare there is a difference between zones and stamps, so actual stamps are within data centers, multiple data centers would constitute a Zone(Availability Zone). There's a good doc explaining stamps architecture(storage specific, but is the same as the other Azure services) Here
When it comes to Zones(AZs), there's a good doc here (Each zone is made up of one or more datacenters equipped with independent power, cooling, and networking) Let me know if this helps.
Thanks,
Adam
@Adam-Smith-MSFT That works for me and my team. Looks like we need to update the HCF slides again to include this term.
Thanks again!
