Step # 4 says, “Select type myGalleryApp then select it when it shows up in the list. When you are done, select Save.”

After tenant 2 performs the above step, where does the image appear on tenant 2’s account?
What I noticed was that tenant 2 does see the application I created on my (tenant 1’s) account, but the image that I shared is not visible under of the following locations:
Resource Groups
Images
Shared Image Gallery

As a publisher, we do not mind whether to leave the golden image on our subscription and allow customers to create VMs on their subscriptions from it or allow customers to clone the image into their subscription.

@sam90909 based on my understanding, tenant 2 won't see anything in their portal, but rather they will have the permissions to pull the image from tenant 1 and create VMs.

@cynthn can you confirm on what exactly the specific behavior should be? We might want to add a note to the doc as well.

@sam90909 and @MicahMcKittrick-MSFT Yes, when you share the image resources using an app registration, Tenant2 won't see the resources in the portal. This process is for sharing "at scale" (where you don't want to give permissions individually).

If you just share the gallery directly (for example, share from your work account to your personal account, using e-mail) then you can see the resources in the portal.
