Azure-docs: Missing infos in docs about connection protocol, ports,..

Created on 29 May 2019  Â·  6Comments  Â·  Source: MicrosoftDocs/azure-docs

Hi,
I have to create a doc for our app and have to outline all outgoing connections of the app regarding: used protocols, encryption, ports,...
What is required for the spatial anchors account?

Best regards,
Stefan

@wassx Thanks for the feedback! We are currently investigating and will update you shortly.

@wassx Sorry for the delay. I raised you question internally I will update you as soon as I get the answer.

Hi, @wassx. Could you please explain a little more about your question? What information are you seeking for and not able to find in the documentation?

Hi @XiangyuL-Microsoft
I want to document for our customers, which services our app is using and which ports/connections their firewall needs to let through. I assume the azure spatial anchors service depends on https (443) but I can't find this in the docs.

I've added these changes to the Azure Spatial Anchors FAQ. This commit should show up in this repository and be live on the docs.microsoft.com site shortly.

I'll repeat the details here:

Azure Spatial Anchors communicates over TCP port 443 using an encrypted protocol. For authentication, it uses Azure Active Directory, which communicates using HTTPS over port 443.

Thank you!
