Azure-docs: Azure File Sync with SharePoint Files?

Created on 14 Jan 2019  Â·  4Comments  Â·  Source: MicrosoftDocs/azure-docs

Our Scenario: Copying document attachments from SharePoint into a publicly available Azure repo. The copies will be done selectively from libraries throughout the SP tenant, based on content type/metadata value criteria.

Based on reviewing the documentation, I don't think we can achieve this using Azure File Sync. But I wanted to confirm with people smarter than me.

No, Azure File Sync is for syncing files between an on-premises Windows Server and an Azure file share, primarily for the purpose of caching the Azure file share on-premises for fast access.

When you say Azure repo, what do you mean? Like a GitHub repo in the Azure organization?
