Azure-docs: Import schema not available

Created on 4 Jan 2019  Â·  7Comments  Â·  Source: MicrosoftDocs/azure-docs

Hi,
I implemented the parameterization of the database name on my linked services on my Azure Data Factory as shown in the tutorial, but I encountered an issue with "copy activities": it is normal that once in the linked services has been parameterized the database name, in copy activities the import button can not be used?
If I try to use the import schema button, I get this error:
"The Linked Service of Dataset "DBTable" uses parameters and contains secret. Currently, for visualized authoring experience, getting schema is not supported for such Linked Service. Please cancel this operation and set the schema by yourself by editing the Schema tab of the Dataset."

Is there a way to use the import schema button if in the linked service the database name is parameterized? Thanks

Hi all,

Apologies for the delay in response. The error message is valid. Good news is that this feature was funded for work and should be available in the UX by the end of Septmber!

Let me know if you have additional questions.

Thanks,
Daniel
