Hi Team

The download page indicates "JIRA should be installed on a Windows 64-bit version"
I need to know if there are technical reasons for this or if the plugin is actually supported on linux / CentOS 7.x as well?
thanks in advance

@nzkid
Thanks for your feedback! We will investigate and update as appropriate.
What's the status of this query? Can the plugin be installed on applications not installed on a Windows OS machines?
Also, I would like to know if the plugin support will be extended to JIRA 7.12.0? The systems requirements says that it is currently supported until 7.8 and nothing after that. Please advise.
Thank You!
@nzkid This should work on the Linux machine also but we have not tested all the flavors of Linux and all supported browsers on Linux.
@jeevansd with respect, I don't think you should close this ticket. The support offered on Linux must be clear. In particular, I am not interested in whether the browser on linux will work, but if the Jira Plugin will work and is supported on a Jira installation on a CentOs 7.x installation, and if it is the documentation should reflect that.
+1
Getting some kind of response on whether this is supported on Linux or not would be appreciated. I think there are a lot of orgs that run Azure AD and Jira on Linux... for our part, having a MS-provided plugin handling Azure AD SSO would certainly be the preferred way.
We are using it on a Ubuntu 16.04.4 LTS and it works fine.
@nujiel and @gsahlstrom @nzkid @rikhily Now we updated the plugin for JIRA 8.0 and also mentioned the support for Linux OS into it. Please see the updated Microsoft Download Center Page for it.
We are alos updating this doc for the newer versions and Linux support.
I am closing this ticket now.
