Azure-docs: what is the requirement for [resource namespace]?

It seems a bit misleading that in the descriptions it is said that "In the resources array of the resource for which you want to enable Diagnostic Logs, add a resource of type [resource namespace]/providers/diagnosticSettings".
Next, this type format is not used neither in the sample template, nor in the example i.e. the example uses ' "type": "providers/diagnosticSettings" '... I would expect it to be "Microsoft.Logic/workflows/providers/diagnosticSettings" because this is what the documentation says.

Is it possible that we have some input on this?

I am also looking for the update on this issue. The documentation is not clear and does not provide good examples.

This entire documentation needs to be reviewed and redone. It is nearly impossible to understand.
