There are many comments in this article about planning backups to avoid storage throttling. But it is not clear if this is to avoid throttling the storage account used by the VMs (in the case of unmanaged disks) or the storage account used under-the-hood by the Recovery Services Vault.
This needs to be clarified. In particular, if I'm using managed disks, which parts of the advice still apply?

@jtuliani Thanks for the feedback! I have assigned the issue to the content author to evaluate and update as appropriate.
@jtuliani Thank you for your feedback and question. The Best Practices section is the only section that should provide recommendations. In the Best Practices section, there are seven bullet items. Items 4, 5, and 6 mention storage accounts and apply ONLY to VMs with unmanaged disks. Items 1, 2, 3, and 7 apply to VMs with unmanaged or managed disks. I'll take a work item to edit this section and make these sections distinct. If there are confusing statements outside of the Best practices section, please let us know.
@jtuliani We will now proceed to close this thread. If there are further questions regarding this matter, please reopen it and we will gladly continue the discussion.
Thank you! Great info
