@MarekLani Thanks for the feedback! I have assigned the issue to the content author to evaluate and update as appropriate but, can you please provide an example of what you would like to see. The title of this GitHub issue needs some clarity, as what you are really looking for is an example of how to send messages in a direct manner. The content owner may know of another tutorial or sample that may meet your needs. Please clarify your desired functionality. Thank you.

Hi Mike, thanks for reaction. Some time ago, I believe that .NET subpage about how to send message to ioT hub contained code snippets, where you were able to quickly find the few lines needed to implement this functionality. I know it can be found in github repository, but in my opinion it would be much more user friendly, to have these snippets directly in the text.

@MarekLani - thanks for the suggestion. I've made a note of this and we'll evaluate this request when we next review this content. Our intent was to keep these Quickstarts as short and clear as possible - if you run through the steps you'll download all the code to your local machine where you can easily copy/paste from the samples.
