In your last example you mention a Quota type of "Cores". This isn't available anymore. The only option is "Compute (cores,vCPU)".
No info on increasing Total Regional vCPUs.

@ganganarayanan can you take a look at this? Looks like the doc will need some screenshot updates as well.
Any update for increasing Total Regional vCPUs Option?
I do see the doc itself needs updating to reflect the portal changes. However the process for requesting more cores appears to still be similar. The naming convention has simply changed.
Unless the option to increase "Total Regional vCPU's" was never previously available, more than the naming convention has changed.
When you attempt to increase quota using the method on this page, you are only able to increase the individual SKU quota's, not the "Total Regional vCPU's"
Thanks All. @ganganarayanan is currently out of office but she is aware of these issues and will be getting to them shortly.
This is a major issue for me as well. I have 8/10 Total Regional vCPU's in use, but this is split across different VM size families. Am I expected to request a quota increase from 2/10 to 2/20 of say a DSv2 in order to get my Total Regional vCPU increased?
As an addendum/update - the answer is yes; I request an increase of SKU DS, which I have 0/10. It has increased to 0/20, and my Total Regional vCPU has also increased to 8/20.
Is @ganganarayanan still out of office? This documentation still needs updating regarding "Total Regional vCPUs", and preferably the support ticket process should get an option to simply request an increase on "Total Regional vCPUs".
To add to what Jeff mentioned it worked for me too, and the approvals were almost immediate. I think it took less than 5 minutes after submitting the request to see the "Total Regional vCPUs" bump up. The process appears to be automated.
@pyoungberg looking into it. Will update once I hear back
This is confusing and still hasn't been updated. Does someone still have a task for this work to get done?
Unfortunately I tried increasing DSv2 - hoping to get the Total Regional vCPUs raised and I only got the DSv2 approved - that part was immediate. Waiting a bit to see if Total Regional vCPUs increases.
It's been a year guys, is anyone even working this issue? @MicahMcKittrick-MSFT @ganganarayanan hello?
Appears this doc was updated and revamped on 6/06
So seems this issue can be closed. Please check out the updated doc and let me know if you have questions.
Any update for increasing Total Regional vCPUs Option? I still Dont see that option in the portal
We have updated this document so I am closing out the issue.
As per the option to increase total regional CPUs that work is still being considered. Please upvote the uservoice feedback item here:
