Azure-docs: Steps Outdated ? and unable to add existing Subscription to Managment group

Hi Team,

I have created an heirachy of Management Groups and was at the heading "Add an existing Subscription to a management group"
I was unable to follow steps as they do seem outdated.

This is how I did it.

1. Click on the MG group where i wish to attach the subscription
2. next to name there was (details) hyperlink
3. when I click on it I get buttons in next blade "+ Add Subscription"
4. I clicked "+ Add Subscription"
5. It gave me a dropdown with all subscriptions. (dropdown label : Move an existing subscription to be a child of 'mg-projects')
6. I selected the subscription for it to be the child.
7. I clicked save
8. The screen went away and in alerts area i could see it was trying something.
9. after a while i get following error

Updating subscription
There has been an error moving the subscription. If the problem continues, please contact support

1. so was unable to follow the steps and unable to attach the subscription to Management group

can you please help ?

Hi @YutongTie-MSFT ,

• I raised a support ticket & MS backend has fixed it. Thanks Microsoft, I can use portal to Add a subscription :)
• However please if you can get the steps updated.

Thanks for pointing this out. We just released that change and I have the updated docs out for review. Should be updated shortly.
