Thanks for the feedback @mzhukovs. We currently have a PR in place to update the Quickstart to .NET Standard (which you can review here). Now that Xamarin.Forms 3.0 has been released, we are planning to update to the latest version as well.

Thanks so much conceptdev, do you have a timeline for that?

The .NET Standard update has been approved and should be merged soon (at which point, it will be very easy to manually update to Xamarin.Forms 3.0 after downloading).

The template will be updated to Xamarin.Forms 3.0 soon after the .NET Standard change goes live.

Thanks for the responsiveness @conceptdev

Sorry one more quick one on this - what about updating the C# backend for AzureMobileApps to latest .NET Core and EF Core? Or is what it says here confirmed - i.e. this will not happen any time soon/at all? Is it best to jut use regular web api then? Thanks in advance for your insight @conceptdev

The final comment on that thread is from the product team, which basically confirms only the .NET Framework version is available.

Any ETA for the updated Quickstart?

The pull request that fixes this has been merged, just needs to be enabled in the Azure portal. Can't give exact ETA, but soon.

Could you let us know when the quickstart is fixed?

The Xamarin Quickstart templates available inside the Azure portal were all updated last month.

they seem to have updated azure but not the documentation
