Azure-docs: Update Licensing details of B2B collaboration using office 365 external sharing

Created on 14 May 2018  Â·  6Comments  Â·  Source: MicrosoftDocs/azure-docs

The Azure AD B2B collaboration licensing says 1: 5 ratio limitation about the guest accounts added to the tenant.
https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/active-directory/active-directory-b2b-licensing

But Office 365 external sharing feature documentation does not provide any information about licensing limitations. Please mention if there are any licensing requirement to be met while using office 365 external sharing. If not please do mention that there are no licensing limitations and unlimited external users can be added via office 365 external sharing without purchasing additional licenses.

Thanks

For SharePoint/OneDrive sharing, there's no limit to the number of external users you can invite to your SharePoint Online site collections (see details in the SharePoint Online Service Description. We're also looking into SharePoint external sharing settings and will update the docs should our product team uncover anything that is helpful to note. @Codefearingguy Hello. We are looking into this and have filed a work item to track this issue. We'll update this thread when we have more information. Thanks!

Should you be clarifying in this article that setting the OneDrive/SharePoint Online external sharing setting to "Only allow sharing with external users already in the directory" will also break the ad-hoc file sharing capability (where the invitee gets a URL and then a 6-digit PIN w/o needing to create a guest account).
