It's impossible to scale down storage size in the basic pricing tier. I was making some adjustments and I realize that changing the storage size from de current 50GB to 1TB show no additional charge in pricing calculator, I supposed that the 1GB storage already included in the month bill.
So, I changed to 1tb and now in my panel it show that will be charged a huge value, something that should only cost 344BRL is showing that will be more than 1000BRL. Investiganting in my subscription usage I've discovered that the amount of storage I've selected is being charged and not being shown in the calculator on the pricing tier page.
OK, now I'm trying to decrease the size of my storage to the original size and the portal can't allow me to do that. Why? In this case if there is no option to decrease I'll have to create another account and migrate all my databases to not be charged.

@Thiago4breu Thanks for the feedback. We are actively investigating and will get back to you soon.
@ajlam Could you please take a look in case you can assist. Thanks, Jason
@Thiago4breu, can you please clarify the first part of your question? You increased the storage, but did not see any effect on the price shown in the portal? This sounds like a potential bug, so I'd like to investigate it. Do you have a screenshot that shows this?
Also, we currently only support scaling up storage.
@Thiago4breu, looks like I was able to reproduce your issue when using Basic tier. It looks like the pricing does update for the General Purpose and Memory Optimized tiers though. I will follow up with our engineering team to see how to fix this. Thanks for finding this issue!
@ajlam yes, that is the problem, the price does not update for the basic tier. I understand that the platform could only scale up, but what should I do now, because I was induced to commit this mistake to scale to the top of available storage, thinking that it was already included in my pricing tier.
Like Sql Azure, i can choose between 100mb and 250gb (or more in preview blade) and define my database, without no charge until 250gb.
Give any information to help me how to fix my account issue to not be billed all the space that I'm not using. Thanks
@Thiago4breu, I am tracking the Portal pricing issue as a bug in our engineering backlog.
Let me try to help you offline. Can you please email me at andrea.[email protected] with the Azure region your server is deployed in?
I'll contact you soon. Thanks
