I've found this feature-request from 2018 and it seems to be still unimplemented. So I'm giving my "+1" here with a hope to bring this topic up.

On a related note, there should be a way to use a Kotlin class as a handler for Lambda.

UAST support in latest IDE SDK has improved adding in Scala and basic Groovy, we should check that approach: https://plugins.jetbrains.com/docs/intellij/uast.html
