Please add support for specifying a CloudFormation Service Role to be used by CloudFormation to create resources. This is a relatively common use case for users that do not have permissions to create resources directly.
I am with you!!
Adding a config parameter which will map to the CloudFormation Stack IAM Role would be really beneficial to the developers in an organization where access is restricted for manual tasks and permission to deploy any AWS Resource is granted through CloudFormation Only after choosing an IAM Role for the stack.
Current Parallel Cluster configuration supports EC2 IAM Role and Additional IAM Role which map to IAM Role of EC2. I would love to have a config parameter "stack_iam_role" where users might specify the IAM Role they would like to use to deploy the Parallel Cluster CFN stacks.
Very interesting feature request, thanks for your contribution! I will submit it to the team for evaluation.

I request you to kindly have a look on the feature requests raised, issue # 1629 & 1627 and share your comments. I am hoping you would find them useful too and label as necessary.
