Aurora won't initialize Corsair devices

Created on 13 May 2020  路  1Comment  路  Source: antonpup/Aurora

Expected Behaviour

Corsair devices should appear with no issues in Device Manager tab.

Actual Behaviour

Corsair devices appear as Not Initialized.

Frequency

Everytime, trying to start them manually doesn't work either.

Aurora Version:

0.7.2+293

Previously an Issue?

Probably, yeah. I've tried every version since the current stable to the latest beta I've found.

Additional info

I've installed today 3 QL120 RGB fans and I'm afraid they are causing this problem because the log says something about the deviceType variable being out of range. Since I'm not sure of this, I've decided to report this as a bug, given that none of my Corsair devices work now with Aurora until this gets fixed. To be honest I'd settle for those fans to be ignored so I can control the keyboard again if giving full support to them is a hassle.

Corsair Bug

Most helpful comment

This is indeed an issue with those fans. It's more specifically a bug with rgb net, which we use for corsair support. I have a build of aurora that uses the cue sdk directly so I will try to implement that into the dev builds. No ETA for this fix though unfortunately.
