Asciidoctor: Plan for release of 1.5.7?

Created on 13 Apr 2018  路  3Comments  路  Source: asciidoctor/asciidoctor

Hi,

I'm currently working on the transition from asciidoc to asciidoctor (amongst other alternatives) of packages in Debian (https://bugs.debian.org/895462) and I have several push back because of #2400 (and also some for #2655).

Do you have a roadmap on when this is going to be released? I've seen #2400 is marked for 1.5.7 but I can't find when the 1.5.7 is planned to be released.

Thanks for your help,
Joseph

We've been discussing the 1.5.7 release informally, mostly in the chat channel, but have not posted anything official about it. We'll go ahead and use this issue to discuss that plan. We're definitely in the process of gearing up for the 1.5.7 release and what will come after it.

Thus far, we've identified the issues that will make it into 1.5.7 by flagging them with the 1.5.7 milestone. Many of these issues have open pull requests. The first step is to get all these cleared. Several were pending because they had unanswered questions, but I think that's all cleared up now. I'll doing lots of merging over the course of the next few days. Then we'll reassess based on what remains.

We're now down to 12 open issues, many of which of PRs attached. I'm going to try to wrap this release up before the end of the month, but that depends on whether my availability changes.
