Aria2: Is it possible to specify stream-piece-selector for torrents?

Created on 10 May 2017  路  5Comments  路  Source: aria2/aria2

I was checking out WebTorrent, and thought it was pretty cool that it has the ability to download torrent files in-order so that streaming can begin immediately (for supported video formats). I have a similar situation I would like to use aria2 for. Is it possible to have aria2 download each torrent file --inorder like you can for http/ftp streams?

At the moment, there is no way to enforce the ordering of piece.
aria2 has abstraction for selecting pieces, so this is possible if the new algorithm is implemented.

@tatsuhiro-t is this still the case? I believe --bt-prioritize-piece=head=100m --select-file=1 should provide sequential download/streaming.

I would also like to know.
