Archisteamfarm: Tests of new Config Generator

Created on 20 Mar 2016  路  5Comments  路  Source: JustArchiNET/ArchiSteamFarm

I thought that while ASF in fact must stay a console-based app for my own purposes and my own Linux server, there is really nothing against making a standalone config generator app that would help to manage ASF configs.

Download of latest alpha: ASF-GUI.zip

Simply unpack ASF-GUI.exe, and put in the same folder as ASF.exe and config directory.

(Code is available on GitHub in case somebody wants to compile himself, after tests it will also be included in ASF.zip)

Basically I need some feedback, some bug hunting and your thoughts what do you think about the app would be cool as well. It's far from perfect, because I know that my UX is probably one of the worst I've ever seen, but it does it's thing, and I even added a nice tutorial for newcomers, which will automatically enable when only two startup configs are available :+1:

I think this app will make ASF at least a little more user friendly now.

Why not to make Control Panel GUI?

  • Start/Stop ASF as server
  • Add/Edit/Remove user/config
  • Send command via WCF
  • something really cool?

Add/Edit/Remove user/config

This is already possible with above app.

About 2 other ones, I'll see what can be done.

Yes Lukas! will be great Have a stand alone version (as WinAuth) of ASF !!!
regards!

So far so good, my suggestion is to position the bot list vertically on the left side instead.

I couldn't find any bugs myself, it seems that config generator works good for now, perhaps in future it can be extended by extra functionality. Thanks for tests.
