I need an archive of the crash data.
I need to know what crashes I have fixed (because that info is also gone after that time) and the total number of all crashes.
Hockeyapp did store all data forever.
The commendation is to export your data and query it from there: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-gb/appcenter/diagnostics/features#export-diagnostics-data
But the whole point of appcenter is that I have a UI for it, And don鈥檛 need to query it myself. If I build all the tools to do that, I don鈥檛 need appcenter at all.
Can the limit not be changed to the number of crash reports instead of a hard expiration date? With the possible (payed) option to increase the storage?
@schriftgestalt Thanks for your feature request. At this point the recommendation is to use the export feature for any data that might be aged out in App Center past the retention period for your app.
We are considering different retention models in the future but don't have any announcements about these right now.
Why you can鈥檛 serve the needs of you customers (that where served by the previous solutions just fine)? Can you at least release the Hockeyapp code that people can server themselves? Maybe the code of the Hockeyapp desktop app? With that base I maybe can build my own system and get off your nerves.
+1 This is important. You lose your history of fixes and any bugs that really are OS originating and unfixable. This is how it works in Firebase / Fabric too.
Thank you for the feature request! Currently, we are focusing on improving the reliability and performance of the service and new feature work is significantly reduced. To keep the team focused we are closing feature requests with no activity in the past 180 days. If you believe this is still relevant, feel free to create a new issue and tag this item so that we can review it. Sorry for the inconvenience.
