Describe alternatives you've considered
New AppCenter for Mac App?
Additional context
N/A
Yes! Existing apps will continue to work after moving apps to App Center. Our goal is to provide a seamless pipeline and transition from HockeyApp to App Center!
Hope this helps, going to close this issue.
I am afraid your goal was not achieved, since the HockeyApp upload app for MacOS stopped working and the upload is stuck on "Doing preflight check..." :(
Yeah, noticed it also. I鈥檓 currently looking into AppCenter alternatives that have an easier path to upload builds...
@Zakeelm any chance there鈥檚 plans to fix this?
If you don't have a solution, seems you need to 'unclose' this issue
I mean, before it would popup after an xcode archive and I just hit one button to upload and done.
Now, I go to the website, can't upload the archive, find the ipa file instead, upload it, answer multiple pages of junk, and finally it can be downloaded... Not as easily as before (before, I just went into the hockeyapp and clicked 'install' and it installed the new version...
I mean, old system: 5 stars - one/two clicks to upload, two clicks to install
New system: 2 stars. (it eventually works, but seriously, it is a typical recent Microsoft half-baked solution)
I've had people suggest switching to other methods of distributing the apps...
(and the QR code thing... when scan it on my phone it comes up with a warning that I can't login to that page because it is a security issue, so the QR stuff doesn't seem to work... Had to use a chat app to send the URL to myself in order to be able to install it on my iPhone...)
