Describe the solution you'd like
Support Appium framework to run against the test cases written using C#. Currently, App Center support only Appium Java combination.
We'd like this functionality as well.
We're using Appium C# because we need to write UI tests for UWP as well, and we would have used Xamarin.UITest instead, but it doesn't have UWP support.
Me too. I want this feature soon
Me too.
I'm the program manager responsible for App Center Test and I'm working on a new idea which will support more frameworks in Test, allow unit testing, and browser testing. I would like to talk to you about it and understand your needs better.
Below is a link where you can sign-up for a 30-minute call with me. The agenda will be about the value of testing for you and your organization, and my new idea to allow more frameworks and testing styles in App Center Test.

It would be great feature!
Yes, we definitely need that feature as well! Can you share more information about what idea you are working on and when it's going to be available?
This feature would be great for us as well.
Alguna novedad ? Quisiera usar Appium C# en Visual Studio . Para Luego Utilizar CI en Azure DevOps o App Center

I am guessing that much of App Center is not opensource so we cannot contribute to making something like this happen. Is that right?
The problem with this isn't as much being frightened of Xamarin as @Oddj0b suggested in another issue. But the want for a framework that can test most, if not all, UIs of an application with whatever language the test team chooses. We are trying to use C# though out our app but also have two website components that we want to keep under the same framework.
Also, on hiring test engineers, anything selenium based opens the doors to being able to quickly on-board someone after finding them. The market share of people that know Xamarin.UITest is minuscule compared to those that know Selenium.
Appium would give the most bang for your buck, as would making the project open source because I would most certainly contribute.
We would like this feature too. All our code is written in C#.
My organisation needs this as well. Xamarin.Forms cross platform code, Appium supports UWP UI tests as well. Would be a great addition!
We would love to have this feature. My organization uses appium for our UWP UI Tests and Xamarin for our iOS and Android UI Tests. We would love it if we could switch to using a single framework for all of our tests.
We would like this feature as well. We are currently writing our tests in Java because of this limitation, but we are a C# shop and would love to be able to write our tests in a language that our whole team is familiar with.
much needed feature !! is there any roadmap to onboard this feature quickly ?
We spent close to 6 months to automate iOS tests using Appium. We assumed that AppCenter is Microsoft offering so they support c#/.NET be default. Surprised and shocked that they don't support yet.
Is there any updates on this? Is it even planned for some time?

I'd like to hear from Microsoft about this topic as well
Any news?
