Like for numerous others in the DeFiChain channels, the app won't start for me anymore. Since yesterday, it will display a spinning circle and then say "Unable to start blockchain".
When enabling console output, I keep getting a network error message.
I already deleted the blocks/chainstate/enhancedcs folders and tried again, same thing.

Debug.log won't add any new lines since yesterday, apparently due to the network error.

Hi @tame81 , v2.3.3 is out. Please read through the release notes before updating. If you have not sync to 100%, there was a node issue on 05/04/2021 that may have cause the network error, everything is back online now, you may try the following:
Option 1 — Reset & Reindex (sync from 0%)
Reset & Reindex

Option 2 — Snapshot (sync from 90%+)
Reset & Reindex i located at bottom-left corner of app screen

Hi @izzycsy,
The problem is that I could not get into the app because it got stuck on the splash screen.
Because of no other workaround hints from the channels or your end, I had to delete everything. I then copied over a snapshot, now the app is syncing at around 90%. Hope it'll work afterwards.
Hi @izzycsy ,
Yesterday, I started the app on my mac (Version 2.3.3). It opened and did the syn process (I was at 99.8%).
Then it showed up an error that there is a mistake in blockchain state and that I should download the snapshot.
I tried that but after a while the app didnt react anymore. I closed it and when I tried to reopen the complete app did not show up. I deinstalled and reinstalled it but still the same. The app opens but the window does not show up anymore.
I already tried to delete the wallet_map.json and restart the app, but didnt work either.
can someone help out here? Thanks, CF
Hi @CryptoFabi , please follow the steps carefully while performing a reinstallation of DeFi Wallet.
In app directory:
wallets folder, and paste in Documents (for example), so it’s easier to find it when restoring wallet later on. Mac — Go to Folder:

/Users/<username>/Library/Application Support/Defi/wallets/

Delete DeFi folder

Delete defi-app folder

Then proceed with the following:
DeFi-Wallet-2.3.3.dmg file OK System Preferences > Security & Privacy > Open Anyway

At this point, you can either wait for the app to sync to 100%
or
Download snapshot (27GB) and wait for app to sync to 100%

Restore wallet from backup (wallet.dat)
 – Guide the app to where where your wallet.dat is located

Hi @izzycsy,
Re. #9: It's better to copy the backed-up file wallet.dat from its safe location directly over wallet.dat in directory
~/Library/Application Support/Defi/wallets/. Otherwise you'll have the configuration file in ~/.defi point to the external location permanently. And if that happens to be on an external drive, it's bound to be disconnected sometime. Close the app before doing that, then re-start it.
Re. #4: I'd also make sure to delete DeFi Wallet.app before re-installing it.
Dear @izzycsy
we already had email conversation. I followed your instructions to delete the DeFi Wallet, reinstalled, downloaded the Snapshot, replaced "blocks", "chainstate" and "enhancedcs" folder, erased most of disk space to have space for close to 80GB on my hard drive and still having problems to restore the Wallet.
I have my passphrase and my wallet.dat
Using Mac OS Big Sur
DeFi Wallet 2.3.3.
What am I'm doing wrong?
Cant access my funds since a month and it would be great to get your guidance

Hi @MrsZoggy , we've progressed to an automatic snapshot (as shown on your screenshot), click Download Snapshot. Or you can try reinstalling again by following the instructions above. Please try again. Thank you for your patience.
Hi @tame81 @CryptoFabi @MrsZoggy , v2.3.4 is out. Please read through the release notes before updating. If your issue persists, send a screenshot & logs to Unable to start blockchain, we can further discuss on the issue there. We would like to keep same issues in one thread. Thank you.
