Regular typing should work as intended.
Randomly when typing, the cursor position moves 1-2 steps back messing up the whole word.
Android OS version: 9
Device manufacturer and model: Huawei/Honor BND-AL10
List of installed add-ons (like languages, or themes):
I don't have any extra add-ons. Here are the inbuilt settings I'm using:
Keyboard: QWERTY Latin keyboard with symbols (on long press)
Theme: AOSP Dark theme
Let me know if I need to provide any other details.
It happens to me too, although only when typing fast. Really annoying.
Im having the same issue
I hope that the changes made in the upcoming release will fix this.
@menny Thanks for considering a fix. This is definitely my number 1 bug with ASK.
Issue #1875 already discusses of this and some users have suggested that it happens most often when the CPU is doing some work. Also apparently disabling the animations helps.
I am going to try that right now and will describe in #1875 what happens.

Have used this for about 1陆 hrs now and haven't had this issue so far but I'll test it a bit more and let you know again.
that's amazing to hear!
Hi @menny . I have been using your fix since 24h and I am happy to say that I don't have the problem anymore! 馃コ
With your fix I am using ASK with Full animations and so far the cursor is behaving properly. Not skipping inputs nor jumping between words.
However if I remember well the problem was even worse when the phone is doing CPU-intensive tasks in the background. I haven't tested your fix in this situation.
good to hear.
Thank you all for testing, this means a lot.
@Menny Hello, I have been using your fix for one week now and even though there are 0 problems with the animations, there is a bug that didn't happen before.
Let's say that I am typing the word "thank" (in English) and I position my cursor behind the 'k". I erase "han" and start typing again, ASK will try to autocorrect the new letters I am typing.

This didn't happen before and has caused me to write mistakes sometimes:

This was fixed in a later commit

@menny Hi, I have downloaded and installed this APK (Testing build 1.10.1651, version code 6821) but the error is still here.
I have been using it for several days, here are some screenshots:

Do you want me to create a new issue? Or maybe reopening #2532 and posting my screenshots there?
