Right now statistics is only accessible from settings.
It would make it more discoverable if they could be accessed from subscriptions screen :
@keunes also proposed in closed issue #4552 to be able to add it to lateral menu so it could have his own entry
To be honest, I am not sure if I like the idea of adding more buttons to the subscriptions screen. Every additional button makes the app a tiny bit harder to process for new users. I think AntennaPod should try to be as beginner friendly as possible.
I agree on the general point, though. The statistics screen is a bit hard to find and actually does not really fit on a settings screen.
If you don't want to add more button then the best option is what @keunes proposed : adding an entry in lateral menu.
I think it's also good proposal.
Or it fits more in Playback History either as an option or a teaser panel
adding an entry in lateral menu
Hmm, that was my idea, too, when I first added the statistics screen back in 2016. Just like the old maintainers back then, I am now convinced that the feature is not used often enough to justify another sidebar menu entry.

While I like the general idea of a teaser panel, I think that it could also lead to problems. Users would want a feature to hide the teaser panel. That would then lead to users no longer finding the statistics screen once they removed the panel.
Maybe a toolbar button on the subscriptions screen really is the least obtrusive and most discoverable option that we have.
+1 @ByteHamster
IMHO in the long run I think there will also be a need to think about displaying podcast list in lateral menu.
I think it will make sense to make it disappears because it's not really useful if you have a lot of podcast. Hence request for folders or tags.
I created a topic on the forum to speak more about it. It would be easier to exchange thoughts about UI : https://forum.antennapod.org/t/thoughts-about-ui-keep-it-simple-but-allow-powerful-features/289

You know you can remove the list via the menu settings? Simply long-press one of the other menu entries to change your selection.
@keunes I know and it is what I did. It was more a comment about keeping this feature or making it not default if it is still is.
