It would be great to have a "move after current episode" function in the context menu in playlist in addition to "move to beginning" and "move to end".
My playlist always gets longer and longer so sometimes I hear a podcast episode with a "breaking news" 2 weeks "too late". So often I move a single episode manually up underneath the current playing episode so it is played after that. It would be really great to have a function to do this.
Not sure if I'm a big supporter of this. While I see the use, I personally often just move episodes by dragging them right after the currently playing episode. On the other hand, if you have a long queue it might be easy to have a 'Next in queue' functionality.
The problem I see with this request is the following: I agree that it would definitely help in your use-case but I don't think the feature would be used by many people. The options menu is already quite long. Adding that option would make it even longer, which will likely confuse new users.
Hi,
thank you for your answers.
I can understand your concern of letting the menu get too long. But you also see the added value in my suggestion.
What I don’t see is the need of controls for „deactivate auto download“ (don’t know the exact option in English) and „go to website“. I never used this and never will. Do these have to be in the option menu of every episode? Isn’t it easy enough to reach in the details view of the episode?
Shouldn’t the option menu in the playlist include options to control the playlist?
I can only underline again that my suggested option would be a great feature for a “hard core” podcast listener with constantly more than 50 episodes in the playlist, like me.
Another great feature would be btw the possibility to configure a podcast to always set new episodes as “next in queue”. So with this it would be assured that I always hear my favorites “fresh and crisp” 😉
Thanks
Steffen

Sorry I do not think this should be implemented in AntennaPod. The context menu is already pretty long and I do not want to add even more clutter.
