Angular-cli: ng build --prod does not minify/uglify files after update cli to 6.0.1

outputs this non minified files:

--prod is just a shorthand for --configuration=production which the included angular.json file does not contain and the second --configuration option is overriding regardless. Also, the prod configuration contains no options pertaining to optimization.
