I have two of the same phones (my wife and I). My phone DOES NOT have this issue. But my wife has this issue, as stated by AlexKalopsia.
When I login to her account on my phone, it works. But not on her phone.

I had this too. I had a few double mobile phone accounts logged in still, so I revoked everything (did a remote wipe with the most recent one), and logged back in. That solved things for me.

I had the same issue, but only for one image file. Newer photos uploaded without problem.
I also had several older phone sessions which I revoked. This solved the issue.
I'm running the snap server, which is currently on 17.0.5
Android app version is 3.11.0

EDIT: the issue seems to have returned. I will try a remote wipe later.

EDIT 2: the error message persisted for 1 or 2 days and then it disappeared. Not sure what happened, but it's working fine now.

I also had/have the same problem. Revoking the app's password and reconfiguring the app did solve the problem for some days. Now it hit me again. The symptoms I see are:

1. The automatic upload of an image was interrupted due to bad network connectivity.
2. The Nextcloud app tries to upload this file again and again and fails every time.
3. Other images, also ones that were taken afterwards, are uploaded without problems.

Android app version is 3.11.0.
Nextcloud server version 18.3.

You're right, it's not related to this issue, I just noticed it when testing. I'll keep a look out for it in the next release and open a bug report if needed.

I have completely new install of Nextcloud, and the Android app, and getting this error :(

I don;t know if that's a generic message, but seems like i missed a server configuration somewhere.
Similar to trusted-domains in config.php, originally is populated with the device name the server is running, OR I just accepted the default (which i probably did, since toatally new, and didn't want to chanhge anything, and not have it work)

I have since changed trysted-domains, to my entire subnet (192.168.0.*), so that i can at least try to manage it from somewhere else, which works fine from my windows machine, which also has the nextcloud-drive loaded and wprking.
