Team RabbitMQ plans to fork this client and develop or at least accept contributions at a higher rate, without the remarkably strict dedication to backwards compatibility. I cannot provide an ETA but the next couple of months sounds realistic.
I think that's a good plan. I simply don't have the time to accept patches
and tests for this project, and bringing under the RabbitMQ codebases makes
sense.
