Amphtml: Search Carousel moves to the next page when opening a sidebar - `side=right` - on a result page that in the middle of other results pages

I noticed a few 'major' UI/UX bugs in the AMP Carousel in conjunction with CNN's AMP Article's via the Safari browser on iOS 10.3.x

1.) Type in a popular news topic such as 'Syria' into your mobile Google Search
2.) Find a CNN AMP Article and tap it
3.) Press the hamburger nav icon on the top right of the article header
4.) See the UI/UX bugs

What browsers are affected?

iOS 10.3 via iPhone 6s Plus Safari (Not sure about other possible phone/browser issues)

Which AMP version is affected?

@ericlindley-g @camelburrito Since this is a pretty bad regression, setting to P0 for this sprint. Let's work with the viewer team to fix it.

Agreed — Can't repro on other sites for sidebar, but it affects the entire search results carousel when the issue occurs.

Looks like it is happening on IOS 10.3 (we tested on @chenshay s older ios and it fine).

Yea we've seen it not be an issue for 10.2 just 10.3 as of now.

CNN SIDEBAR works fine if it is the only article in the viewer, the issue is occurs only when there are multiple articles. So far issue is reproable with cnn articles only.

May be it happens with sidebars opening from the right?

confirmed - issue happens only with side=right sidebar. and only when the page is not the last page on the google search carousel
